Mercedes Benz & Auto Union Poster - Silver Avus - 1937

€29,17 EUR

The Silver Arrows Project Mercedes Benz Avus poster depicts the W25 and W125 Streamliners that competed in the 1937 Avus-Rennen race. It is printed on high quality fine art paper.

The name "Silver Arrows" is synonymous with success. Mercedes-Benz still uses the term today, but the story really began in the 1930s. The German press first dubbed the dominant Mercedes-Benz and Auto Union Grand Prix racing cars between 1934 and 1939 the "Silver Arrows" for two main reasons: First, because of their speed and aerodynamics; and second, because to save weight, both manufacturers stripped paint from the bodywork, revealing the silver aluminum underneath.

Automobilist artists use the latest 3D modeling technology to rebuild cars from the ground up. Each element of the car is modeled and recreated in great detail. This digital creation process and offset printing on art paper (175 g/m²) ensure an impressively realistic result. They are published in the standard format 50 x 70 cm. You will easily find frames adapted to these dimensions.
